After breakfast on the terrace roof overlooking Istanbul we went for a walk through the main tourist square down to the bosphorus (after checking it was safe!) We bought some Turkish delight on the way. At 1230 we had a private transfer to the airport then 2 flights, first to Athens then to Santorini.
I think we both really enjoyed our time in Turkey but had enough of the uncertainty, particularly on buses and transfers between cities. This was capped off last night when were were dropped in the middle of Istanbul instead of to our hotel, luckily we had already stayed there at the start of our trip so we could get there easily!
Our room in Thira is very cute with views to the water. We walked into town to find dinner then ate on our balcony.
