Day 63 Madrid

30 June
Today we went to the massive flea markets on the streets of Madrid, called el rastro. There were hundreds of stalls selling clothes, jewellery, leather, bags, shoes and kitchen things. It was very hot and crowded but a good experience. We stopped in a cafe for some churros dipped in hot chocolate. Late in the afternoon we got into the Reina Sophia art gallery for free and saw lots of Picasso paintings including the guernica. For dinner we went to the La Gloria De montera and had a really nice meal for a good price. At midnight we found a local pub playing the Spain vs Brazil soccer match. It was very noisy and passionate!
