A bit of a shorter day on the bus from 8am in Madrid to arriving in San Sebastian at 5pm. There was nice scenery on the route today, very green and lots of mountains. We are staying in a room in an apartment on the Gran Via close to the surf beach (I think Alistair is itching to get on a board!) We are quite lucky with our room for the next few days, they tried to raise the price by about 30 euro a night but we rocked up with the right amount of cash for the old price and the owners did not speak English so we got away with a bargain room. Alistair insists the saving should be spent on more surfboard hire! For dinner we had some pintxos and a risotto with Pedro ximinex sauce!
